Post your one day ride photo.....

Well major accolades on 49 years of riding! I can relate with regards to the great 1100S. On the very short list of bikes missed most.

Thanks, after 49 years of riding a wide variety of machines...I'm mostly just happy to still be on the green side of the grass! :)

Cheers!

Lake Moomaw

Western Virginia. Had all sorts of weather today. Started out pretty cool and got cooler in the mountains. Coming down into the valley hit a stubborn fog that was reluctant to burn off. Eventually the sun came out and the temperatures rose quickly. The wind picked up, but I was at my back on the way home...just the way it should be.

After some *unscheduled* maintenance and a drive shaft replacement yesterday, I was able to go for a much anticipated short ride. :brow

Did the swing arm have to come off? Or did you pull it to make sure there were no remains of your failed U-joint in the housing?

Both, I couldn't get the drive shaft to pull out from the rear and I wanted to re-grease and clean everything up front.
It was nice to get out for a ride after the surgery. :)

Jamestown

Beautiful day. Sunny with unusually low humidity. This is one of several wood bridges on the tour road.

Seemed a good a day as any to go ride in America's Alps, The North Cascades.

Thanks sfarson,

I see the pictures you, lostrider, Grafikeat and some others post and realize I am not quite "there", but once in a while I get a good one...even if it is on a wood bridge over a large swamp. :) The /5 is no S, but I enjoy her very much. I do not lnow how well you know this area, but Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown are close to each other and connected by the Colonial Parkway...a pleasant if not exciting road. If you ever come out this way Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks are not far.
