Post your one day ride photo.....

It was warm, I hadn't been on the road for a few days, and I didn't have anything to do, so hopped on the bike, and took off for Big Bear Lake. A little hazy, but 30 degree difference! And the ride down was real nice!

Houston weather:

WET RIDE.JPGThis was a great day of riding with my Uncle. He was in front of me on his GS me trailing behind on K12RS. It started out perfect, until we were about an hour from home. Major downpour, thunder, lightning. The works, in other words wonderful riding conditions. This was about a month after I had returned from Iraq in 2005.

Drove from home from Victoria today. It was a beautiful day, and it took a number of side roads and stops before I made it home.

School Daze......

This little one room school house was built in 1912 and is just outside of Big Timber Montana.
It was built at the time by Norwegian immigrants and served the community until 1963.

I stopped by there this morning after riding up the Boulder river road outside of town.

This morning I took a beautiful ride down highway 89 out of Livingston to Gardiner Montana.
I saw a huge amount of parents and kids in the stores in Bozeman buying the back to school stuff and so I've noticed how quiet the roads are around Yellowstone.

The pic is of the Roosevelt Arch built in 1903, it's made of local volcanic rock and basalt.
The cost to build it was $10,000 dollars......I can't imagine the cost today!

The mornings are crisp and it smells of fall. I have a friend that lives near the Big Horn mountains and he said they had some snow two nights ago.....yikes!

Mike

Morning commute

Nothing fancy just my typical ride into work this morning on the Maryland interstate into DC. My vision is about as clear as this picture in the mornings! :snore

Just a little putt putt around the county on the R100. The hills are still brown, but rain's coming this weekend. In another few weeks, they'll be as green as the hills outside Dublin, Ireland.

But, in the meanwhile, the roads are dry, the weather is fine and it's the time where we have some of our best riding.
