I just noticed that one of the latest Overengineered Swabian Pigs (Mercedes Benz) ads opens with a Benz rolling out of a gate preceded by ... BMWs! :clap

There was also an R1200GS in an ad for I think a Mercury or something a couple of years ago. I think the theme of the ad was all other vehicles (including a helicopter) were jealous, or something like that.
I have seen I think two TV ads for BMW motorcycles during the old Two Wheeled Tuesday broadcasts. One had a couple on a K12LT and was an extension of theprint ads that said something like "after 20 years of marriage, she's holding me tighter than ever," and the other was for the R1150GS and I remember a slo-mo shot of it going into some water.

I dunno.......MB seems to do pretty well in the left lane of the Autobahn!

I didn't say "slow".

I just found it entertaining that the motorcycles they need to do a proper 'escort' are Bavarian ones.

There is a an ad on our local station of the cable for the Midsouth Community College in West Memphis, Ar.. The ad is titlled Start Here and Go Anywhere. It features a girl riding a BMW R1150R from Memphis,Tn across the new bridge to W. Memphis, Ar. ,to the college. It really shows off the bike in the ad. Having that bike ridden over the Mississippi River on the new bridge in that film video sequence is pretty good. When rider and bike get to the college, the video pans both rider and bike with the college in background. It takes on a human interest side when the rider pulls off the helmet and it's a pretty girl, who then gives the hilites of the college. Good visuals of the bike and it being ridden.
The new bridge is the I-40 bridge from Ar. to Memphis. When it opened about 35 years ago, it was refered to as the new bridge and the locals have been it that ever since. The old bridge is the I-55 bridge.

Had I the financial clout of, say, a retired bankruptcy attorney, my garage would house an E-series Mercedes-Benz, parked right next to my R1200RT.

BMW's trailblazing for an MB?

All is right with the world, today.

Peace.

Sadly, the closest one I know to you doesn't ride - and he has a soft spot for Lexuses (Lexi?) ... :scratch

Bmw ???

This reminds me of a program on Harley's 100th anniversary in 2003 (even though every 1954 Harley had a sticker saying 50th anniversary)..... It opened with two obviously motorcycle challenged reporters talking about all of the Harley's in Milwaukee. As the camera panned the lot, the first motorcycles seen were BMW's.... go figure:laugh

I don't know if she's single, but she sure was attractive and probably in her late teens or early 20s. I'm 54 and single, and if I was 30 years younger...... oh well thats another story. ;)
