    Big Sur Camping

Sharon and I rode down the coast Saturday morning to Kirk Creek Campground.
But first we stopped at the Wagon Wheel on Carmel Valley Rd.
    Eggs Benedict...

Sharon resting at the Fernwood Resort...

The weather was perfect with temps in the mid sixties...

After setting up the tent we climbed down to the beach...
    Soaker!

We sat on the bluff and watched the earth spin...

An almost full moon filled the sky.

Our campsite came with a free Australian Shepard, Artemus. He loved to fetch.
Passers by wondered how we got the the dog on the bike.

On the way home we stopped to see McWay Falls...

    The full monty...

Great photos of what was--by all appearances--a great time. Oh that I could have joined you. . . . Thanks for having us all along.

    Wagon Wheel!

One of my faves. I like the little joint next to the Safeway a little further out Carmel Valley Road, too. They make their own granola and it's wonderful.

Some bikes. Some with motors, some without.

It gives solace when the wind is blowing and the wind chill is way below zero.

    Great Pictures

WOW! Gorgeous scenery. Even on the best days here in Illinois the scenery pales by comparison. Thank you for sharing!

I'm sick of it, I tell ya, sick of it.

Darn left coasters rub it in while it was 6 degrees here this morning.

Then to take the time to make it into a video so we could see moving pictures of a gorgeous coastline while I look at the ice in my backyard. We're not going to put up with this much longer.

Thanks for giving us midwurstner's something to dream about.

Nicely done, Stephen! Awesome scenery, almost as impressive as I remember seeing it on the PCH in 1981. Very dramatic pics and video as well. Thanks for sharing!
