Seasons Greetings Everyone
I ordered a manual from Vech on my R50/2. Engine # 644231.
I see it calls for my carb's to be..Left 1/24/45 & Right 1/24/46.....BUT
the carb's on the bike are Left 1/24/131 & Right 1/24/132
are these carb's wrong for this bike?????
Can the slides be saved after they have corroded and stuck??

I haven't got the Bing booklet in front of me, but almost surely your carbs will work correctly. The 24 in those numbers means that they are 24mm, so the right size. The last number in the string indicates a particular model, as delivered from Bing to BMW and equipped with particular jet sizes. There were some changes during the years, and there were updated numbers. The BMW manual probably lists the first year model number, but the jetting changed at least when BMW started going to a 4x18 rear tire (and a different final drive ratio) later in the 60s. The plain R50 also had a different set of jets. Get the booklet from Bing, it will give you a lot of information about what is correct, and how your carbs operate and how to set them up.

Regarding the slides, you can clean them up with a scotchbrite or very fine sand paper to unstick them. Often they stick because the carb bodies are warping, in which case they will likely stick again. The bodies warp when they are bolted too tightly to the intakes on the heads. The flange on the carb body will warp too, and leak air at the juncture to the head, making it very difficult to set up a proper idle.
