And a nice one at that. What's going on with the knobs on the headlight nacelle, and the apparent extra lens in front of the headlight?

    BTW, welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum, vin8899! Lew, I'm wondering if the "knobs" might be the old fashioned fuse holders. As for the lens, I can see a couple of white glued-on stickers, probably Velcro for holding a plastic lens cover.

When we had a /5 it originally had a Leuftmeister fairing. It had the original fuses inside the headlight housing. One rainy day riding from Minneapolis to Iowa City one of the fuses blew. To replace the fuse required that the fairing be removed to get a hand into the headlight housing. This was done in a parking lot in Faribault, MN in the rain.

New fuse holders like the ones in the above photo were installed as soon as they could be acquired after we got home.

Two of my friends' airheads last week in the Ozarks. They allowed me to join them on an oilhead.

Is that Petit Jean Mt. and the Arkansas River in the background?

I'm not sure. We were near the end of Talimena in OK at that point at the Panorama overlook.
