CS stands for Classic Sport. Yes, it is basically an S however when they launched the r90s that bike actually could keep up with the Japanese and Italian sports breed bikes of the area. By 1982 the air cooled boxer pushrod combination was no longer competitive, horsepower wise. BMW opposed twins could not compete with output of the sportiest bikes of the early eighties... Thus the name Classic Sport.

Glad the knee surgery went well and you are out riding again. A close relative had knee replacement last year and it changed their life. Exercise that RS! :)

Not too shabby for this forum

This one has been on the family since new; it was my dad's and I got to keep it. That makes it extra special.

Good grief… I think what you need to complete your shop is another BMW on a lift… :laugh

:D The /5 in the background has been up on one too long...life and funding keep interfering. ..but another lift has a space if it came along:thumb
