1976 R90/6 12k original miles, as delivered in '76. Picked her up over the weekend. Can anyone tell me about these saddlebags? I think they may be ALDO??

Very nice looking in white!

You might be right...Duane has pictures of Aldo bags about 2/3 down this page:

http://w6rec.com/duane/bmw/bags/misc/index.htm

One of his pictures shows the front clasp more towards the side rather than in the middle...

Thanks for the color compliment. Yes Its Aldo. The mounts gave it away. So now how do I find someone else who has Aldo bags. The cover is missing from the left side bag and I'd like to find one... but where.

I just got this bike a few days ago so I have lots to learn about my new favorite bike. I know there is a store house of knowledge on this site it'll just take me some time to mine my way through it.
THANKS AGAIN

I am the 3rd owner of a 76 R90/6 which has Aldo bags and trunk. This pic is taken just after having to lay it down to avoid crash into suburban that suddenly stopped in front of me. The bike has had a new paint job and is now a candied metallic cherry red with cream pin stripes.

I just picked up my first, a 1995 R100 GSPD Classic from a gentleman in Michigan. The bike and I bonded over the 1000 mile return trip to Arkansas. Me happy!

I couldn't think of a better bike to bond with. Hope to see you around the Ozarks or the Ouchitas and cross paths riding our bikes. Barry

Thanks for the info I like the trunk. I'm missing the left side bag cover for my rig. Thanks to this site a fellow named Jeff W. has a cover and latches too.

Looks like I'm keeping this baby for a long, long time.
