That looks suspiciously '37-'39 Indian-like, except for the disc brake bits... building a Bobber?

I would guess that the Indian is certainly pre-war. The leaf spring front looks like an Indian 4 that a good friend built over the the last 10 years.
The disc brake on the rear is probably a donor for a mock up.

First real ride today on the reconditioned bike... wow! Love it. Smooth, better handling good on the dirt road.

Just Purchased

I've been away from airheads since 1992 when I sold my 79 R100RS for a K100RS. Never liked the K100 engine and in 1995 purchased a new oilhead GS which I kept for 18 years. I now have an 07 GSA but wanted to find a good clean R80 or R100 bike. I found this bike (1984 R80RT) by scanning Craigs List ads along the eastern side of the US and was lucky enough to purchase it. Bike is being stored by a friend of mine who lived nearby. I'll be heading down in May to ride this bike around KY and TN!! Bike has 12,770 original miles.

If you decide this bike does not work for you, like too ugly, wrong paint color, too many miles, issues with rust, mechanical malfunctions, or that it is causing you to ride too many hours/day, please let me know and we can help you find another place to store it :D

Too funny!

Gees, that is very thoughtful of you!! I'm not sure about the color but over time, I may be able to warm up to the bike. I think most of the rust is just surface issues but, you never know!!!

Great response!!
