Tina bought me a tank bag for the R60/2 from Mobile Tradition. It's got a cut out for the tool box and fits perfectly.

I love it. :clap

Yeah

They're a type of art on wheels like old Ducatis.

Please: a photo of the tank bag and list its part number.

I surely do. They are works of industrial art and they are tons of fun to ride.

They are beautiful

Those are some beautiful classics folks.
Darryl, what model is the middle picture?
My brother in law has an old '63 R60 that he wants to sell me and it looks similar to your photo.
I have a couple vintage bikes of other makes, a Harley and Suzuki, and would have to squeeze for storage space, but a classic old BMW would make a nice addition.

Bikes in my photos are:

Top - 1961 R60/2
Middle - 1953 R51/3
Bottom - 1928 R52

Your brother-in-law's R60 would look more like my R60/2 or three of the four of Jeff Dean's photos (one of his is a plunger frame R68 - look at the forks and the rear suspension to see the difference).

R-60

Thanks Darryl. This one would be a project but it runs anyway. For a thousand bucks I may just get an old BMW classic for the stable.

A thousand for a running bike? Visit the Vintage Club's website and forum or join the slash2 mailing list and you'll find that there's a rule of thumb: buy it for $5k, get it running for $5k and then restore it for $5k. You're way ahead of the curve.

The VBMWMO (vintage club) has a big list of resources and links you can go through for more information.

They're art on wheels, aren't they? Just like Ferraris are art on wheels.
