BMW & the Pikes Peak Inter. Hill Climb

Great article on the BMW's effort tackeling the Pikes Peak Hill Climb this year.
In the new 1200cc class the HP's and Super Motar models proved they are up to the time trial up Pikes Peak.
However Daey Durelle on his custom build Rotax 750 was 5 seconds faster then the winning BMW 1200cc bike.
I want to see BMW back in the big off road races. They have the machinary now and lets see them kick KTM's butt in the Paris to Dakar and XR650's ass in the Baja 1000. I am waiting for those true head to head tests.

I rode up Pikes Peak on the Tuesday morning before the weekend races. Got to see all the haulers & bikes sitting around. They had just had practice or timed runs. As we were headed up all the cars were headed back down. I haven't seen any results, but heard the Mega Moto won it's class.

SHAG. . .they won their class because there was only six BMW super motar and HP's in that class of 1200cc.
Lets see some competition and enter those big boy races as I pointed out.
