Hard Case Aluminum 'Covers' or Shields

The stock saddle bags I have on my 650 have aluminum 'covers' glued to them. I like the covers as I like the look and believe :dunno they effectively reflect light and heat from the contents on hot sunny days.
When I ride the wind pries into the front (insect killing side) of the cases and shield forcing the aluminum off.

Have any of you experienced this and how did you tackle repair (I love pics :lurk ).
If you have not experienced it, any suggestions:help ?

The newer lids have four big pop rivets to keep the aluminum in place; two in the top and two in the bottom.

Thanks

Thanks Sarah!
I thought you were joking when you said hot glue and double sided tape.....but it looks like you're right!!
