    RT-P Tank Bag

I'm very happy with the Marsee 20L tear drop bag on my 2000 R1100RT-P.

    Tank bag for RT...

Because the RT center of gravity is rather high and a bit top heavy, I bought the Cortech Super Mini (non-magnetic). Its capacity is small, but I recalibrated my tank bag need to take along list and I actually have more room than I really need. The bar-ends just contact the bag, but do not interfere with steering, and I have the BMW radio controls on the left bar. If you have bar-backs, the bar-ends will be even less intrusive. As for the map window - it's too small to be really useful for maps, but I use it for printed waypoints, mileage to destinations, etc. (large print) and rely on my GPS for navigation. Very reasonable price, too.

    Thumbs up Chicane Baja XL

Got one for my '04 RT and it works great. Fits on the "tank" well, doesn't slide around, right size not to get in the way. Lots of pockets and a great rain cover that you can't loose. Map pocket is small, about 5" X 6", but not an issue for me with my GPS. About $130 shipped. Great folks to work with to boot!
