Rear Brake Pads

Bike: 1999 K1200 LT
The rear pads are in need of replacing and I plan on doing it myself. Where do I find a place to vent the reservoir to allow the fluid to return to, as I depress the pistons?

Any thing out of the ordinary, that I should know, before doing the job??
 
Suck it all out with a turkey baster. Your probably need new fluid, anyway.
 
if you have not added fluid,no need to drain any fluid... changed several pads and removed calipers for tire changes and never had to drain any. the reevoir usually has enough room.
 
I assume, that the pistons push straight in, and that they don't "ratchet" like some found on autos?

Can I get by without any "special tools" ??

I read a lot of comments about "EBC" Pads and Rotors........Does anyone have anything good to say about OEM Pads and Rotors?? They are available from the local dealer tomorrow ( although more money ) without having to order and pay shipping and have to wait.

Sure, they work just fine. Most people complain about the cost, not the performance, of the OEM pads and/or rotors.
