A couple of weeks ago near Washington Pass on the North Cascades Highway.

That's a great piece of road. Nice to ride it with the snow around, too.

I had a memorable ride just west of there, one time. I came up on a guy in a car who was really moving, and I couldn't get by him, :D so I just followed. He pulled over just east of Marblemount, and gave me a big wave as I went by.

I got lucky with traffic that day, mid-week and mid-afternoon. Great run all the way from Mazama to Marblemount not being held up by anyone!

My first BMW. 2008 R1200GS.

Bought this last August from an estate sale. Only had 6500 miles on it. Just got back from an 8 day 2,755 mile trip to Glacier National Park. Bike ran like a top except the ABS module puked like so many others I am reading about.

How do you like the camhead as compared to your '09. The first time I rode one I noticed it spun up more quickly than my '05.

That was pretty gutsy driving a "new" bike across country, without a shakedown run. You must have determined that it had been well maintained.
