Post a picture of your hexhead.

my cases have been repainted twice...:mad
not forgiving of falls or those pesky gas station bollards as the older versions

I got the side case guards. When I was t-boned, the cases popped off.

Where did you get the aux mirrors? Do they vibrate when you are moving?

Pretty sure those are "K" bike mirrors from the K-GT. Very common addition to the LT and RT with fairing mounted mirrors. If you check the LT or RT Forums they have posts with the exact part numbers. You not only need the mirrors but the "odd" nuts that to on the ends. They work well and do not vibrate. I believe they will fit any RT up to the 2010 camheads when they changed the switch gear.

They are K1200RS mirrors. Got them from MAX BMW. They fit in the holes already made in the handlebars of my 07. All you need are the mirrors and the nut. (Some other years will need an adapter) They vibrate a little sometimes but I still like them better than the stock. With these I can see behind me and use the stock mirrors for my dead spots.

Contrats on the new RT. I also have the anniversary model and, though is it packed away in the shed covered with 12+ inches of snow, I did put almost 6,000 mi on it this summer. Love the bike. The seats are now being upgraded to RDL's. Can't wait to see how they look and feel.

I guess i'll add my annie to the mix!

i luv the wunderlich protection bars - i layed 'er on her side today just to see if i can pick it up and also see the protection bars at work:

also, the wunderlich protection bars design covers up the darn bolt to remove the exhaust pipe. I saw a realy clean solution another r1200rt rider had on flickr, and decided to duplicate (funniest thing is he also had a annie version):

I ended up buying a m8 40mm exhaust bolt (the one where u can use a allen wrench on one side), a 30 mm 5/8" fenderwasher, and a m8 nut. Works just fine now, i can remove the exhaust without having to remove the protection bar.

ps: i picked up the bike just fine.

New Sargent Seat on my 07 R1200R

Just got my seat back from Sargent. I did not get the standard Sargent treatment for the R12R, which I think they call "Premium Foam Upgrade/Conversion" or something like that. I just had then put some of their "supercell" foam in, widen it, and move the rise back a bit (this was the main reason for a sending it to them). I felt too constricted with the stocker, although I found it comfortable. Also I had them add pleated vinyl for that old school look. In any case I am really impressed with the quality of workmanship from Sargent. Have not taken her on a long ride but will update when I do.

Cheers,
BH

Still, I cringe a bit seeing that bike lying on her side! Glad it was only a test.
