In recent posts I spoke of an R65 a friend was lending my son to ride to the Land of OZ rally in KS. My son took the Youngest rider award, (he is 16 and his first rally) 1st place in the Barrel roll, 2nd place in the Slow race, 2nd place in the Water carry, and 2nd place in the Yellow brick road field events. The 1979 brown R65 he was riding was raffled off 3 years ago at this rally, and my friend won it. The friend offered it for sale that day and it is now ours. Oh the memories.
