messed up my rim

ISAMEMON

Grammarian no, Rider yes
1978 spoke wheels

ok ....stupid me.... I had my front wheel off ( repack bearings and new seals) and thought I would soda blast the center hub, looked great, moved out to the spokes, great, hit the rim...........wrong thing to do.
dulled the rim and car wax did not seem to help
any ideas to help stupid me

otherwise Ill just have to now shoot the whloe rim so it matches

thanks

p.s otherwise the soda blast worked everyplace else on the bike and on many cars, did not dull chrome, stainless, or other parts in many situations.
even for fun soda blasted a old wrecked honda, adn it did not even dull the glass on the gauges

I'd consider simichrome; maybe some Mother's Mag polish or Never-Dull. I've heard about Excite polish (#ACC078A). Supposed to be great on non-steel pieces. Try out on some other pieces of aluminum and see how they work...

thanks
last night in desperation, I tired 4-0000 steel wool, and mag polish, that seems to have cleaned it up
what confuses me , is that the soda blasting did not seem to damage any other aluminum I used it on such as the tops of my carbs .

live and learn
