R65 head & valve service

Bob's BMW advertises in the ON the kind of service I want for my valve/head, but I have missed their deadline. Can anyone recommend a good shop for this work, and perhaps closer to here in the Northwest?

There should be a few reputable folks advertising in ON.....Randy Long, Leo Goff, etc. Pack the heads and ship them to one of those guys.

Good advice Jon. I put together one of my 750's yesterday. I had taken the heads to the top machine shop in town. 5 weeks turn around time because I had to acquire the parts they wanted after they did the tear down and measured everything. If you send 'em to an airhead specialist, they will know what is typically required and maybe even have parts on hand. The total cost on my project was $241 to Bob's BMW, and $154 to Kalina Machine and Motor Parts here in Peoria.

airhead head & valve service

When I was fixin lots of airheads in Seattle, I had Dan at Hill Headworks do all my stock heads- great work at a great price. He had sources for good seats and guides; though I sometimes supplied the guides, his seats were better than bmw seats- if you're anywhere near Seattle, give him a call.
