R60/5 restoration

Pezz_gs

Mum Thinks Im Terrific :)
Here is a pic of a R60/5 I was given by a good friend. The picture is flattering ;)

I was going to put a 90/6 motor in it and make a 'hotrod', however I have now decided to rebuild the 60/5 motor. This bike has done a lot of miles and needs lot of TLC. The cases are completely stripped and in box's. The alloy on the engine and gearbox is black from Oil stains. It ran a total loss oil system and leaked from everywhere.
It has spun a bearing on the crank. I have sourced a 2nd hand crank and rods.
I have picked up an alloy front rim to replace the steel one and match the rear alloy
I have picked up a /5 SWB swingarm to replace the R65 that was installed ofter the bike was stolen by kids and the original swingarm was broken jumping banks in a park . .

Question for the collective wisdom is,
The standard piston is 73.5mm, the R75 runs 82mm.
What oversize pistons are out there?
I would like to keep the original Bing Concentric Carbies?
Camshaft is different on a 60/5 to a 75/5. Would fitting a 75/5 camshaft be something to be considered? Has someone done this?
I will be getting the heads twin plugged and the seats and guides upgraded but thats about all. No Porting . . .

Well that should do for now :bikes

Pezz :)
