BMW fairings for older R bikes????

Does anyone know if the later BMW fairings will fit on the earlier R bikes. I have a 1975 R90/6 and would like to find a fairing that is more aerodynamic (Not a bikini S fairing) but offers the protection of the some of the later BMW fairings. I am looking for a complete fairing with leggings. Currently I have a Windjammer III but it is not aerodynamic at all...but offers very good protection. Thanks for the advice.:wave

1. Sell your bike.

2. Buy a '77-'78 R100RS.

You will need the threaded inserts in the steering head to afix the mounting bracket for an RS or RT fairing.

You'll be better off buying a bike that has them rather than trying to modify or jury-rig one that doesn't.

ALL from '77 on have the inserts, whether or not they came with a fairing initially.

Not BMW fairings but Craig Vetter is still around, as are his fairings.
Hannigan in Paris, AR as well.
