What happened to the good old days when you could take off the fenders of your old Harley Flathead or Indian Scout and run around in the sand dunes along Lake Michigan for some fun hill climbing?
What happened to drag racing on Washington St. in Downtown Lansing, MIch. with the old man's Edsel? Citizens built a drag strip in Onondaga for the "kids" but now the dragsters are $500,000 monsters. What kid could afford that. Now look what they have done with hill climbing! Special built bikes that can be used for nothing else but that one weekend of the year at the National Hill Climbing Championships at Mt. Garfield, just south of Muskegon, Mich.
