BMW motorcycle rental / Portland OR area

Ahh - ran the Hood to Coast a couple of times myself. Not sure about renting beemers in Portland but there is a guy in Bend who has GS's. Bend is about 180 miles from Portland but a great place to ride and worth tying into your Portland trip if you have the time. Friends have rented there before and I think there is a two day minimum

The website is:

www.flyrideusa.com

Or you could rent something in Seattle (barely closer than Bend).

Or -gasp- you can rent a Harley.

Last spring the Seattle area BMW dealers didn't rent them AFAIK. I rented a bike from http://www.mtsma.com/, they have a few BMWs also. Very nice guy, I recommend them.

(I'm probably not supposed to say this on a beemer forum, but the FJR1300 was fun!)

If it had 2 (or 3) wheels it was all good.

Let's just say that on that thing I knew exactly what my right hand was doing. Oilhead felt VERY slow for weeks afterward. :banghead
That's why I'm not going to test-ride that new K-GT just yet. I might like it.

Hey Guys...
Thanks for the help/idea's. Have checked out the websites. New to "Beemer Land"... I appreciate the help and advice. Thanks again

I also rented from RT at Mountain to Sound Motorcycle Adventures in Issaquah, WA. in June 2006. Nice folks and very nicely kept equipment. He has a couple of BMWs in his fleet; a LT and a C as I recall, plus several others. I rented a Honda ST1100 which performed perfectly. Good luck!
