Family or friends in the Gulf?

What's that noise...?
Lately the war is on our minds, and my local cronies and I have been discussing who among us has someone in the Iraqi situation.

Personally, I don't have a kid there, but I have several friends who do. And I do have a nephew who is a crew chief on a C-130 at Eglin who is awaiting orders for deployment.

Here is hoping the best for all concerned.

My brother is there and my nephew is on his way. I pray for the safe return of them and all of our brave men and women.

Here is our future son-in-law. (poor guy:D )
We call him "Shippy". He loves the military life.
He was on his way to the gulf when he got accepted into the CBees (Construction Battalion) now he is in Mississippi in school.
Prolly go to Iraq for the re-constriction phase.
He's #1 in the school. :clap

Hmm

The memories that a picture can evoke.

Years ago ... in another life ... I qualified with the M-60.

I wish him all the best.

Thanks Rick, I'll pass on the good word to Shippy. He's closer to you right now than to us. -Gulfport.
