    R1200C Transmission Drain Plug

I own an R1150R. I am changing the transmission oil on a friend's 1200C. On the C model the drain plug is on the bottom instead of the side. The Allen wrench size of this plug is bigger than what I have available. Can someone give me the size so I can go purchase one?

    Thanks Kevin.

14mm hex is difficult to find. After three stops I went to a bolt house which had 14mm hex stock.

    Thanks again.

I got a 5 pc. set of 1/2 inch drive metric Allens which included a 14mm hex socket at Auto Zone.

I didn't have the right size either but I did have a bolt with the right size head and welded it to an 3/8" extension, works great, only if you have a welder though.

2 14mm nuts on a bolt with a wrench does the trick too if you don't have a welder

i bought the hex key for mine, only the configuration of the S doesn't allow for it to fit too well, i had to cut it down a bit............

    Nice trick w/ the bolts

I got the 14mm socket key from AutoZone. PepBoys also has a nice assortment. Got also a 17mm for Duc front axle.
