    Bing Carbs ?????

I bought a converted '67 /2 bike a few years ago. It has a '71 R75/5 engine according to the motor number.
Here's the question: What bike did the carbs come from? 64/26/301 & 302 Bing CV carbs.

My Bing manual says 64/32/3-4 or /9-10. The carbs you noted appear to have come on the R45, released only in Germany. 26mm carbs are probably not "enough" for the R75/5...should be 32mm. There must be some kind of adapter to make them fit the intake stub on the head.

The motor number might not reflect the current displacement. If the bike's been FrankenBeemerized, you never know where they stopped. Maybe there are 500cc jugs on it.

Bottom line is, does the bike run well with those carbs?
