Welcome from the Upstate of SC. We spend a week of two running around Florida in Feburary every year or so, mostly between Apalachicola and Port Saint Joe. I had a '76 RD400, wish I had that one back, nice bikes.

They're a ton of fun, aren't they? Mine is a '77 D-model. I had one just like it in high school (except blue, not red). My first RD was a '75 RD350B which Yamaha was selling for $899 in early-'76 upon release of the 400. I also had a '78 E-model. Followed several years later by a Canadian RD350LC which was an absolute monster. I bought this one from the original owner in 2001.

Upstate SC? And you come to Florida to ride? I'll trade places with you. LOL. I haven't ridden a motorcycle in that area in twenty years. I'm dying to get my new bike up that way. Then would come the dilemma: Do I ride or hike? Hopefully, some of both.

Well, its February, we go to Cape San Blas, by the Fall we are in the N East, Pennsy up to Maine. Yes, good riding in N GA, NC and Tenn.

Welcome! I started out on an RD400 (aka, the "Buzz Bomb").

Hahaha. I like that. I've owned a bunch of them over the years. I also owned a Kawasaki H2 briefly in the early-80s. They're a heck of a lot of fun. And I just love the smell of 2-strokes.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm very honored to be here.
