2023 - Motorcycle Trip Bend OR - Yosemite

On May 10, 2023, Bill Selkirk and Rob Adams packed up our F750GS and F850GSA in Sweet Idaho and drove to Bend Oregon where we would be starting a 2085-mile road trip down the coastal mountains of SW Oregon and Northern California. We would be crossing to the western mountains of California near Redmond and riding through the gold country to Yosemite NP. In Auburn CA we would be meeting Rob's friend Scott Eldredge who would ride down to Yosemite and explore with us for a couple of days. We had routes planned and GSX files for our GPSs but the heavy snowfalls of the winter of 2023 and the late and cooler spring plus the heavy rains in California made us do new route planning along the way as we ran into a number of closed roads due to snow, washouts, and landslides.
