R1100RT brake lines.

Hello, I’m replacing all the brake lines after my rear line ruptured on my R1100RT. I found a set advertised for a 2000 R1150RT. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable? Thanks

According to the MAX on-line parts fiche, all three hoses for the 1100 vs. the 1150 (two for the front and one for the rear) are different part numbers, so I would say No.

R1100Rt brake lines

The 1150 came out in 2002. If the bike is a 2000, then it would be a 1100rt.

I entered my model and year on the suppliers search and they Listed the2000 R1150rt. That’s what confused me. I don’t know where to get the parts # list. Thanks to all who replied.

The BMW OEM rubber brake lines are outdated & will fail eventually. I would never replace them with another OEM rubber brake line. Spiegler makes good replacement brake lines for much less than the BMW lines.

Some fitment apps get confused with 2000 and 2001 1100RT models. You could put 1998 or 1999 in the model search and you'll get the right parts. Your 2000 R1100RT has the same brake lines as the 1998.

I doubt the lines from an 1150RT fit the 1100RT because of the very different ABS system. I would guess, though I haven't seen this directly, that the 1150 has a different hard brake line arrangement and that would also make the soft lines different.

I think they do this just to keep me confused. :scratch

Yes the hard lines are different too.
Confusion rains supreme! (another spelcheker snafu)
