310GS Windscreen

‘19 310GS. Four screws hold the windscreen to the fairing. The top two secure into metal clips behind the fairing. The bottom two screw into threaded inserts, which are held in the fairing only by friction. The previous owner must’ve over torqued one of these, and now it’s loose, providing no support. I’m looking at drilling a larger hole into the windscreen and fairing, and then inserting a jack nut. Thoughts or suggestions please ? Thanks

I would try to repair the threads with a tap or thread chaser. Then see if you can secure it from turning using plastic repair epoxy. I found that the plastic repair epoxy to be very useful in repairing cracks in the plastic and recreating broken mounting tabs. There is an interesting u tube video where superglue is combined with baking soda to make a paste for area repairs and small objects.

Good luck
