Yeah, it's cold outside, 12.9*, but we haven't had a bad winter so far.

We are closer to spring than we are to fall.

So, what say you Phil?

Phil needs an eye exam and if he would lose a few pounds he wouldn’t cast a shadow that is visible from the Space Station.

Not to worry - seems he is more often wrong than right.

From USA Today

Every Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil predicts the future weather. How often is he right?

"Since making his first prediction in 1887, Punxsutawney Phil has been right 39% of the time, according to the Stormfax Weather Almanac."

Ms. G from up here where fun goes to die, has been right around 60% of the time- early spring. :blah

Looks like iffin you were to average it out, it's about a 50/50 chance. :dunno

In Louisiana, we don't have groundhogs... We have nutria rats.

Meet Pierre C. Shadeaux, who said we have 6 more weeks of small and overly expensive crawfish.

Good news! No sun around here for the last 12 days. I hear those in Ohio may have been in the clouds since mid- December?

Enjoy the feeling of hope.
