Rally with the GS GIANTS and ride the TAT to the BMW MOA Rally in VA!

    Greetings,

The GS GIANTS are having their annual rally in Falcon Missouri on June 1-4 2023.

We're going old skool in the woods with a truly wonderful site which is also the home of Skunkwerks Moto.

With over 80 remote acres and more than three miles of interior trails, swimming pond, installed showers and direct access to legal dirt roads and trails we're looking forward to a great time. Plenty of flat, shaded spots for tents and countless places to hang a hammock.

Food from Chef Don and the Kitchen Outlaws with dinner Thursday - Saturday and breakfast Friday to Sunday. Saturday night is grill your own steak with sides from the Outlaws. We'll have the kind of challenge course that made the GS GIANTS a fixture at many BMW MOA National Rallies with plenty of challenges for the aggressive along with a way for the less aggressive to safely enjoy themselves. Door prizes and if we can get the permits (or vendor) a bier garden too.

This event is the weekend before the BMW MOA National Rally in Doswell, Virginia. We're going to offer a rolling rally from Falcon to Doswell featuring some twisty pavement, a big chunk of the Trans America Trail, the Mid Atlantic Back Road Discovery Route (MABDR), nights at two iconic motorcycle only campgrounds and a secret stash of dirt from Willville to Doswell.

    Do join us won't you?

As the title of our rally states, this year we're going back to our roots and having an Old Skool weekend followed by a rolling rally east to the BMW MOA National Rally in Doswell, VA.

The Roller as I like to call it will utilize fast pavement on day one, the TAT on day's two and three and a hybrid of dirt and pavement the rest of the way. Riders will receive a road book and a .GPX. There will be provided tracks and waypoints. It's self-guided with the hope that nobody will ride alone. The route should get progressively harder as we get to the Blue Ridge Mountains; best I can tell it is all very big bike friendly.

The daily mileages may seem ambitious. Things like the TAT, a BDR and such tend to have many near loops as they do their best to find the good dirt. Using a combo of a track and direct routing to the next campground is a great way to keep track of time and get in for happy hour. This will be covered at the riders meeting Saturday.

    Here's the plan.
Founded in 2011 the GS GIANTS got started building tracks at the BMW MOA National Rally.

We also hosted a pre-rally party with a gypsy tour to the MOA Rally for a few years.

The tracks got to be quite popular but as time went on the facilities that would host the Rally didn't want volunteers moving earth. We kept the party rolling with our one annual rally and building tracks at March Moto Madnesss, the 49er rally, the RA Rally and more.

    Here's the plan.

This is an all bikes, all abilities tour. We'll enjoy some pavement, a bunch of the Trans America Trail and more. The daily distances may seem aggressive; they are high because they follow established dirt routes that take many twists and turns. It is easy to adjust based on time and desire.

Day 1 (Sunday) is pavement from Go Big to the TAT at the Mississippi and Arkansas line. Suggested accommodations are a Casino. Distance is 316 miles
Day 2 is TAT. Mixed surface. Suggested Accommodations are a campground. Distance is 315 miles
Day 3 is TAT Mixed surface. Suggested Accommodations are a campground. Distance is 354 miles
Day 4 is TAT and state roads. Suggested Accommodations are a motorcycle only resort. Distance is 401 miles
Day 5 is TAT and some twisties. Suggested Accommodations are a motorcycle only campground. Distance is 347 miles

Day 6 TBD mostly dirt to Doswell Va.

Riders will receive a roadbook and .GPX files. The roadbook will contain information on each nights stop, contact numbers and other ride specific information. There will be a rider's meeting on Saturday before the ride.
Reservations will be made at the various campgrounds. To be guaranteed a spot at each night's spot registration will be required. If it's more than $20 a night, I'll be surprised.
