Schoolhouse Rock is going to run a special on February 1st @ 8:00PM eastern.

Schoolhouse Rock! is back! ABC announced Wednesday, January 11 that the beloved educational series will return for another singalong event with Ryan Seacrest as headmaster and host alongside a slew of celebrity guests. Schoolhouse Rock! 50th Anniversary Singalong will air Wednesday, February 1 at 8/7c on ABC.

SHR brought many basic social, civic and governmental information to youngsters in a format that seemed to "stick" in their heads while instructing in a fun way of learning.

Will it be as good as the original shows of the early 70's, hard to tell.

Might be a good take for those in school now. ;)

I was in grade shool when those came out, my mother would dance around the living room singing along with the tv, us kids would just giggle at her, they were a great idea. Throw back to a time when people still believed TV could be a positive influence on society, and our young people.

Cool. We purchased a DVD of Schoolhouse Rock and showed them to our son when he was younger. Now that he's almost 15, I wonder if he remembers them.
