I have done 3 McCruise Cruise Control installs. The first 2 were with the vacuum actuator, the 3rd with their new electric actuator. Not a difficult project, it just takes some time. All 3 worked as advertised with no adjustment at all.
Instructions are first rate and easy to understand. If a question arises, text or call them. They'll get back to you very quickly. Great guys to do business with and superb support if needed.
I can also vouch for the fine quality of the McCruise control unit. I installed one on a '93 Honda ST1100 back in '98 and it was as near a perfect setup as I have ever used. Wjhen I had trouble understanding some of the steps, I emailed them during the night and since the time difference was what it is I would receive an answer within 30-60 minutes.
Once I was on a trip to Az. and I developed a problem and just like before, they answered me within the hour and had me up and running again ASAP.
Great guy those two are. I may be using them again in the future.

Yep - I've installed one on my F800GS - https://forums.bmwmoa.org/showthread.php?96811-DrNeo-s-F800GS-Alaska-LDR-bike-build
Mine is the old vac style, but works as advertised and I would do it again!

I was considering installing one on my '01 R1100RL but after checking the price, I quickly changed my mind.
In excess of $800 in USD. Too much IMHO.
