Shim Kit for new style rocker arms?

I am switching my rocker arms to the newer style with shims on my 76 R75/7. I got my hands on a really nice set, just need some shims. Does anyone know of a kit I can buy for just the shims? These suckers are over $3 A PIECE from Max BMW! I have searched and searched but cannot seem to find anything online...many thanks in advance!!!

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I am curious to what this conversion looks like.

Coud you take a picture of it & post it here.

Thanks in advance!

Don't have pictures yet but it is really simple. You take out the "buttons" that the current rockers attach to since the newer versions insert directly into the heads. The newer versions use shims to remove all play.
Here is a good explanation of rocker arms....

As Anton says, measure the gap needed then order the shim you need. Seems like there's no need to buy the entire range of shims. Maybe MaxBMW can simply mail you the shims for the price of letter postage.

rocker arm shimms

Hi, i modified my own rocker arms on my 1977 r 100S ,bought all the parts required from moto bins uk had the rocker arms machined measured and ordered shims required plus extras ,shimmed with studs in middle ,ran bike a few hundred km,s then checked clearencs added schimms as required , valve clearences hardly ever tighten or loosen, very happy i did this , O bye the way that was in 1985 ! Hi Darryl, your gs has the modified rockers ,:cal, heres wishing every one a merry christmas ,Jimmy

lots of shims are available by ID x OD x thickness on ebay, dig around a bit searching by dimension.
A couple vendors there list scads of ID OD THK in pull down tables, so have fun.

I've ordered several applications , formats from washer-type things , in precision thicknesses of course , to narrow ring / large OD
Cost wasn't onerous and delivery pretty quick

Do you have any rocker shims to measure ID X OD & desired thickness ranges ?

I have scads of extra shims, picked up along the way, let me know. Sure easy to mail. I might help out.
Actually have a bag marked rocker shims but dont want to take time looking up anything , its been awihle since I got those

send me the 2 fixed dimensions and thickness range , I 'll check.

I just got (almost) every shim in the final drive off the shelf from a vendor in GB, for a couple bucks per position.
I only did this because the shim washers I was taking out were obviously one part number or another , but off from the listed dimensions.
I figured I try new washers order at Spec thicknesses and check the meshing/ engagement the traditional way (grease paint & read the teeth contact points ...)

Max wanted a couple week ~ months to get the same thing for a bit more $$, cos they dealt only with BMW who may or not have supply at the moment
and not generic supplies .

McMaster Carr /Graingers / Tacoma Screw have a variety of shims washers , last time I needed them memory was US vendors are better for inch sizes natch'ly , but have some common metric too.
Clunky catalogs online. Mininmums and flat (& excessive ) shipping fees usually keep me from check McC, ect first

About the only thing I've not been able to locate off-shelf from ebay / EU/GB shim specialists & all on ebay are wheel bearing shims.

x2 on the " measure then order" , should be able to narrow it down then get a few around the target to tweek

Man I really appreciate the offer!! I actually got lucky and ordered the right one from Max!! All 4 new style rockers installed and shimmed appropriately. Man it sounds great and not nearly as loud with the metallic pinging!! I am soo stoked with the result.
