/5 Cafe (old school) - info wanted

I recently acquired a '72 75/5 that was reportedly modified by Selby Motors of Redwood City, Ca. The mods consist of a large capacity fuel tank with huge knee cutouts, low bars, Keihin carbs, home made reverse cone, small diameter mufflers and (???) internals. Anyone every seen one of these? Any info appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! Certainly the bike has had some mods to it. Haven't seen a tank like that but it might be a Hoske. The carbs were included for better acceleration performance.

Since the bike in question is an Airhead, one of the moderators will move this thread to that area on the forum. No need to repost!

If you intended to do any riding soon, I would check the age of those tires. The rear appears to be a Dunlop K81 which was (IMHO) the best handling tire on a /5 back in the day, but unless someone has installed a new one (they are still avaiable) that could be a very, very old tire.

    Thanks all -
I don't believe Hoske made this design - anyone know differently, love to hear so!
I would not venture a ride on these tires!
