Saddlebag Paint Protection Film - R1200RS

BC1100S

Left Coast Rider
I've searched and have not been able to find pre-cut paint protection film for my BMW luggage. Lots for the 1200RT, K1600 but nada for the RS.

The bags stick out a fair bit and are susceptible to rock dings. I could buy a roll of film but the compound curves guarantee I'll have creases in all the wrong places.

Anyone got a line on this product for an RS? Thanks in advance!

I took my bags off and visited the local window tint joint. They set me up for $100 for the pair of bags. Might be more now, but that stuff went on perfectly and didn't have any bubbles. It might be worth asking your local. If it's close in price to just the material, it might be a good alternative.

They can probably cover the complete front surface. I didn't have any luck applying the film to that surface.

If you don’t have any luck with the above, a sign shop can put a “wrap” of your design and color on them.
We have a couple of members use a truck bed coating such as Line-X on their bags. Looked really sharp.

Motorcycles and their headlights, their fairings, and their luggage get bugs, rock ships, and other defects in their pristine condition. Hopefully, not gashes from bike naps and getoffs. But that is their destiny. Ride on!

Caught me by surprise. I do not see anything about it in your signature line. How about a picture?

Blasphemy! Every effort MUST be made to ensure one's motorcycle is maintained in showroom condition for it's lifetime. :D

100% correct Paul. I actually washed my bike yesterday. Still left some bugs to prove I've ridden it though...
