Will somebody pls describe their rear disc R bike caliper ? Where are your bleed ports ?
I cant hang the caliper just yet to look at the position of the ports, and its been too many moons apart to recall,
but this caliper that came off my '78 r100 had both ports ( hose & bleed) on one end
while the MAX diagram shows the similar body casting but a version with a pad on the puck cavity drilled for bleed hole ....
I figured this caliper that came with bike was original but I didnt get to pick it from the litter in the showroom either..
Seems easy enough to bleed the "original" caliper even if hanging free from the disc ( thus should be able to get the bleed port upper most) but would like to know.
The both-ports-same-end style is available under as a Ducati part for what I'd call "not outrageously expensive " ($120) for a NIB.
thanks for reply !
