    Hello all,

Not new to motorcycles but new to BMW motorcycles. Picked up a beautiful 2004 R1150RT in March, 2022 after a few years of basically trying to turn non-touring bikes into touring bikes. I have fallen in love. Joined the MOA in spring 2022. After getting all maintenance up to date and some new tires I've put over 10k miles on it this year. Going to try and make a MOA event next spring, or a CA event in the winter? We'll see.

    lovely mile-eaters

Photos of 1150s and 1200s always make me anxious for my back injury to finish healing. I am particularly wishing to get some, perhaps quite a few miles in before the snow flies. Such lovely mile eaters. I am hard-pressed to imagine better.

Hallo IG88; Willkommen to the BMW MOA Realm! Tis about time U acquired a Beemer.

Id just say congrats on finding a Vintage BMW that appeals to U! Enjoy it thoroughly while its under your supervision. Im still riding and maintaining my first BMW that I bought as a younger drive-shaft enthusiast [a 1975 R90S]. Enjoy your Autumnal Rides starting this Thursday - we'll do the same!

Enjoy your eXcursions along the Left Coast; the next MOA Rally (50th year) will be held on the right coast in Doswell, VA. U could ride there if your sentiment eXudes for a X-country ride. What R U waiting 4? Any eXcuse is a good eXcuse to go on an eXtended BMW riding ADVenture!

Happy Trails whenever U can - Ciao!

Thanks. I see you're in Minnesota. That first pic is on the North shore of Lake Superior. Rode out to visit a friend in St. Paul in August. Second pic is in Saskatchewan along the way.

Welcome from central ID. You may want to get in touch with the BMW Riders of OR. Not sure what other activities they do as a club but they do a good rally each summer in June, the Chief Joseph Rally in John Day, OR. Also BMW Motorcycle Club of Nor Cal. They also do several rallies and activities each year. Another would be Washington State BMW Riders Club. Good contacts for activities, expertise and camaraderie. Enjoy your new ride.
