Sargent Heated Seat Relay Control Wire

modarin9

Fear is the Mind Killer
I purchased a Sargent seat for my 2019 F850GSA with the heated seat option. Super easy to make all the connections except the relay control wire connection. I've tried tapping into many of the wires in the rear of the bike without success. Some didn't seem to provide enough juice, others nothing at all (too low a voltage?), one was unswitched that led to the control module on all the time, another caused a popping sound (that wasn't good), even tried the Denali Can-Smart controller auxiliary as it seemed to produce too much voltage(?).

Sargent recommends connecting the relay control wire to a switched wire such as a tail light, head light or other switched component. As said, I've tried the wires in the bundle at the rear of the bike without success. So which wire I ask? And where is this wire located? How do I identify it? What color is it? I'm thinking the headlight wire but not sure exactly where it is located. I've searched the internet for wiring diagrams but they have not been helpful. Or more likely I have no clue what I am looking at!:D

I've added Denali DRLs and a brake light but the Can-Smart makes for easy connections. Even on my RT the Clearwater Lights were easy to connect. Now I am stumped! Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you all in advance!!!
