Non Stock Tire Sizes

Tech question; will a 180/55 ZR 17 fit on a 2020 R1250GSA to replace the 170/60 R 17 Rear?
Are you looking for something like a Dunlop Roadsmart 4 or a Michelin Road 6? Dunlop does recommend the Roadsmart 3 in 170/60ZR17 for your bike --- https://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com/tires-for-my-bike/results/?id=252416 .
Michelin recommends the Road 6 size 170/60ZR17 for your bike ... https://www.michelinman.com/motorcy...V F TL---TT;170---60 R 17 M---C 72V R TL---TT .
Is someone giving you a free 180/55ZR17? Hell, spoon it on and give it a try! Otherwise, stick to the Dunlop/Michelin/etc. recommendations.

edit: Dunlop does make the Roadsmart 4 in 170/60ZR17 ... https://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com/tire-line/sportmax-roadsmart-iv/ .

Thanks for the info. I was liking the specs for the Road 6 GT only they don't make it in a 170 which seems odd to me. I think a 1250GSA is heavy enough. I'm trying to find a tire that last a 10,000 mile trip.

Dunlop makes the Roadsmart 4 in 170/60ZR17. Although Dunlop's recommendation is the Roadsmart 3, I would mount a set of RS 4's, but that is my personal choice.
I mounted a new set of RS 4's on my R1250RT before they were officially "approved" by Dunlop. I spoke with someone at Dunlop (name escapes me) and he gave me an unofficial "go-ahead", said the official approval was forthcoming.
