Before the broken clutch cable... Good times at the Twisted Sisters, TX.

Timing is everything they say. I just finished up a 3 day trip to the Twisted Sisters near Leakey, TX. A few trips around the 101 mile loop and several spur routes as well. Not one indication of the upcoming "snappining" of the clutch cable, thank God. My family and I had a blast and the old girl (94RS) did an amazing job hauling us around, 2 at a time of course. The recent Gemi chip, GS tubes, rebalance really made a difference from the 1st trip I took here a bit over a month ago. I found myself shifting and braking much less, letting the engine work well in 2nd or 3rd gear through 2500 to 4500 rpms on the uphill and downhill runs. If you have ridden the sisters you have seen the rock pile at about the half way point. I found a couple designs and had my wife paint a couple rocks for my son and daughter to leave behind. Give the Harley bros something to aim at when unloading Coronas and Dos Eqis..... Oh, had to represent the boxer life you know?G.jpgK.jpg1.jpg2.jpg

I better replace my clutch cable, have the same exact bike (includes color) and my cable hasn't snapped yet but had another problem, we were just talking about it here: https://forums.bmwmoa.org/showthrea...n-clutch-cable-shifting-possible-to-limp-home

FYI: might want to get some sort of a backrest in the back, your wife will LOVE you for it. After me (at least I belive it) and the Cardo radios it's the backrest my lady praises the most.

Nice job on the rocks!
