F800GT Low Seat Options

I'm looking at purchasing a F800GT. I've test driven my friends bike and for me I could use a 1" lower seat height. I'm 5"6", 29" inseam.
It looks like both Sargent and Corbin each offer a lower seat, maybe others also. Does anyone have any experience with shorter seats on the F800GT?

Thank You.

I'm about the same height and inseam as you are. Right now, I'm using the BMW low seat on my GT and it's fine (I ride with an Alaska sheepskin on it). I had a Corbin on my last bike and loved it. I tried a stock Corbin on my GT, and it was too high for me. If you order one, ask for a 'nose job'. They taper the front some so it isn't as wide and it's easier to get your feet down.

custom low seat option

OldCarMan - did ya buy the bike? I have a custom low seat left over from my F800ST which I understand fits the F800GT. I'll get you some photos and more information if you're interested. As I recall it sits just a bit higher than the low seat. I also had a Sargent and preferred the one I am offering you because I could change positions on it and didn't really feel any benefit from the "cup" of the Sargent. Both were better than the stock low seat.

Hi Dave. I didn't purchase it, I ended up purchasing a 2010 Honda NT700v. My buddy in Minnesota has the GT. I will ask him if he would be interested. Thank You

F8ST/GT low seat

I appreciate that! I'm staying with my F7GS instead of moving to an F8GT so I'm going to make someone a good deal on the seat. I'm "decluttering" and the seat's not helpful to anyone in storage.

Hi Dave. If you still have your seat PM me with a few pics and contact info. I will forward to my buddy Gary who has the F800GT.

Thank You

Jim
