2021 850GS skid plate fit isue

Howdy,
I just purchased a 21 850GS. Its the 40 anniversary Bumble Bee edition with the yellow engine guards. The skid plate is the standard plastic issue with the oil plug access. That's nice but not up to the protection I'm hoping for.

I purchased the GIVI skid plate but it's too wide to attach because the engine guards are in the way. Wunderlich is out of stock indefinitely of the example they have on their Bumble Bee. Does anyone else know a metal skid plate that's narrow enough to fit?

Thanks!
Jim
