His story is an amazing read.
Sonny Barger died yesterday.
His story is an amazing read.
I was half trying to get to his get out of jail party back in '92 when I was living in the East Bay. Too bad I missed it, I'm sure it was fun. Godspeed Sonny!

Saw him at Hollister a few times doing book signings. Seemed un Angel like, but a bucks a buck.
My brother in law, a die-hard Harley rider, gave me one of his books. I enjoyed reading it. He mentioned considering BMW over HD for Hell's Angels in the 70s. I wonder how that might have shifted motorcycle industry dynamics.
Regardless, he seemed to live life on his own terms. I'm sad for his passing.
Barger was photographed more than once aboard a BMW RT. Fortunately, he never convinced the rest of the criminal enterprise to do likewise. The most amazing thing about his story is how how little prison time he did after spending his life at the helm of a international criminal enterprise.
