For years I have put up with a rider information display that was so dark the only time I could see it was with the sun shining directly on it. Yes I have the switch on full bright. So I got the instruments out thinking I could just change the glass, dumb ! So after calling the dealer in Iowa city it seems they don't sell just the glass component with wires running out of it but they do sell the entire instrument cluster , I think it was 1600$ . Forget that. Looking on beemer boneyard site doesn't look hopeful. So I guess if I can remember how it goes together I'll put it back and hope it works at least like it did. Next time I'll check the availability before taking it apart.
