There has been a number of ideas on how to get “data” access to subscribers. I remember when the concept of coupling the “data” along with the power lines that come in from the street. This was theoretical possible but promoters of this concept seemed to forget the power lines needed to be in “perfect” condition to have a chance of working.
If this first widespread use pans out, it will be a benefit to rural customers and hopefully additional competition to current “data” suppliers.
