Clarification on Rules -
Arizona has 0 cities/towns/village which start with the letter "R".
However, there are several "census-designated place (CDP)" which start with "R".
Does a CDP qualify as a "Place"? It is recognized by a government authority, in this case the Census Bureau.
Example -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ies_in_Arizona
From my 2004 Rand McNally:
- Red Rock
- Rillito
- Rimrock
- Rio Rico
- Rio Verde
- Rock Pt.
- Rough Rock
- Round Rock
I don't know the rule specifics, though.

If I needed an R in Arizona, I would go for Rio Rico - Has a Post Office with the city and state labeled on the outside of the building.
All,
I have to reduce my involvement with the 2022 Coddiwomple to about zero due to Springfield Rally commitments. So, I won't be a good source for answers to questions posted here. I don't know if anyone else from the Coddiwomple team will be monitoring this thread or not. Even if they are, your best bet is to send your questions to coddiwomple@bmwmoa.org, and then post the answers here for other's benefit if you like. Thanks.

Do Coddiwomplers need to be on a BMW motorcycle, or will any make due? Last year I know any make was ok.
Thanks!
This is the page for rules:

The word "motorcycle" is mentioned a number of times but no where does it say BMW motorcycle. It says "your motorcycle". I think you're good to go!!

That was true last year. Greg was pretty clear there was a lot they were making up as they went along. The rules even stated not to over think what constituted a place. As long as it was not a private business but had some sort of official designation it would be accepted.
This year's rules seem to be pretty specific about defining a Place, a Site and a Park. The WANDER FARTHER challenge specifies you need a place name as defined in rule 4. So it would seem it needs to be "a city, town, or village recognized as such by a State, Provincial, or other government authority."
I take it to mean that a census designated place would meet the criteria of rule 4.
