Fun Fact: My 05ST w/o ABS do have ABS

Yesterday I just figure out that my 05R1200ST(04 version) without ABS version (there is no ABS indicator), do have a ABS III module, but factory bypassed (like we do for the faulty ones). Does this also mean that the unit is likely new?:groovy
But now I actually a bit confused what to do next (I planned to add an aftermarket ABS unit), or I should try to enable this factory unit instead? Is there an easy way to program?

"New" makes no sense - a new or functional module would not be bypassed. It's bad, but bypassed rather than removed. Complete removal causes issues with the speedometer and warning lights. I'd probably search Google and YouTube to see the various ways ABS failure is dealt with to determine which method was used. That should tell you if you can restore the ABS to factory condition.
