The two second cam chain rattle.

2009 K1300GT. 32,000 miles. Well it's gone now because i used the $10 O ring kit to fix it. Sure enough the little bitty O ring in the tensioner had stiffened up with age. Thanks to previous posts on the MOA forum i knew not to replace the whole tensioner but just the O rings. It has the jump guard installed of course. I checked it with my own eyes just to make sure when i got the bike last year. Cranked it this cold morning. No rattle. All is well.

Got it from Bob's BMW online ordering when i ordered some more small parts this summer. Closest BMW Motorrad dealer is 110 miles away. It's the one little bitty O ring for the plunger and the engine case to tensioner sealing O ring. Cam chain tensioner O ring kit is the name of the part. They both come in a sealed plastic bag. Seemed a bit pricey for two O rings i thought. They must be made out the same material as Harley parts. 11 31 7 705 460 SET: O-RING SET K1300GT
